Family Maternity Photos
5/29/2017
Hard to believe that I use to have our little baby in my tummy not that long ago. If you follow me on Instagram, then you know our little babe is here now. We got my friend Ali to snap some photos of us the weekend before our little dude showed up. I was slightly panicked that the baby was going to come early and we were running out of time to snap some photos of my bump & our little family before it expanded. Good thing we did, because he showed up a week early!
This little sassy pants might just love having her picture taken, even though sometimes she pretends she doesn't , haha!
I absolutely love this beautiful floral maxi maternity dress from Pink Blush Maternity. It was so great to wear with my bump but it also has been working postpartum. The neckline works great for nursing, which is always something I seem to forget about after baby comes. This exact dress is sold out but they have a super similar one in pink. They also have amazing non-maternity clothes as well.
It's weird how you can really miss your baby bump after it's gone, even though you are so excited little baby is here to snuggle now.
This man of mine has been the most amazing husband, father, nurse, best friend and so much more. I ended up getting an emergency c-section (more on that later), and I definitely couldn't have done it without him by my side.
I hope you are having a lovely start to your week!

Baby Prep
5/02/2017
I can't believe it is May already and that this little babe could be here any day now! My due date is May.17th but I have a feeling that this little nugget is going to show up sooner.
I am in full nesting/panic mode over here. You know I have a ridiculous list for hubby and I to do before baby comes of some necessary and totally un-necessary things, haha! Thankfully I already have a few new baby items ready to go that I am super excited about.
Finn + Emma is an adorable organic line of baby accessories, clothing and toys. You probably have seen their gorgeous Play Gyms on Instagram. I picked up a few pairs of their cute pjs, in a couple different sizes. I got these Baby Footie ones in the Elephants print and they are so soft! I love that arms have little built in mittens to stop babe from scratching their face. I also got the same print in the two piece Pajama set.
This next item I am super excited about! When it comes to swaddling babies, my skills are seriously lacking. I spend half the night worrying that the swaddle has come undone and the blanket is covering my babe. I can't tell you the number of times I have seen posts about the Ollie Swaddle. It's made from custom-designed moisturize-wicking fabric that reduces the risk of overheating. It uses velcro which allows the fit to be customized to the size and need of baby. It also has an easy access on the bottom to make for diaper changes quick and smooth. I can't wait to try it out!
Clearly both Emery and I are super excited about this DockATot Deluxe Dock. I have only heard amazing things about this docking station for babies & toddlers. It's the perfect place for baby to rest, play, lounge, cuddle, do tummy time, get diaper changes and more. I love that it is super easy to just pick up and move it from room to room, and will be great for traveling. I'm really stoked to try it out and see our sweet little babe laying in it.
Last time with Emery's monthly photos I was overly ambitious. I hand painted number signs for the first couple of months and then slowly fizzled out (sorry Em). I am super excited for this cute little box of Baby Photo Cards from Milestone. Having a toddler and a baby, I know my hands are going to be a little full. This box of cards helps you to capture all of your baby's memorable moments. I can't wait to fill in card saying if we had a boy or a girl, so exciting!
I can't wait to test all these products out and let you all know what I think! Keep your eyes peeled!
Have any of you tried these out before? Let me know!

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick
4/25/2017
I was pretty excited to get these MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liquid Matte Lipsticks to try out. I have always been curious about a certain someones other matte liquid lipstick but definitely did not want to pay that or dare I say support them, haha.
I tried out a few colors from their range: Warm Beige, Rosewood (one of my all time favourite lip colors from MAKE UP FOR EVER), and Neutral Beige.
This first color is Rosewood (Color 105). It's more of a pinky plum color.
This color is Warm Beige (Color 103). It's more of peachy nude color. It's a little more subtle and on the natural side.
The last one I tried out is Neutral Beige (Color 107). This one is the boldest, more on the brown side and darker.
I found these MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liquid Matte Lipsticks to dry a little bit darker then they initially go on. The applicator is really easy to use, which is good because you want to be pretty precise lining your lips with these. I would start in the centre of your lips and work your way outwards. What I really loved about these is how long they last! I've worn them to a couple events in the last week, which included eating some yummy appetizers and the lipstick stayed on perfectly. I didn't have to reapply or anything. I was worried it was going to feel a little heavy but it's actually the opposite. Super light weight feeling!
If you are a little nervous about trying out a matte liquid lipstick, I would try out these ones and start with the Warm Beige color. Have you tried out any matte liquid lipsticks before? Let me know your favourites!

Panago Pizza
4/20/2017
I can't believe it is almost May! That means that this new baby will be here before we know it. It also means that this Mama will be very tired, especially having a toddler to look after on top of this new babe. Making meals is going to be low on my priority list and anything that makes my life easier sounds good to me, so ordering Panago Pizza is a must!
We ordered Panago Pizza on the weekend, which was so nice after a long week of being super sick to have a break from cooking. Panago Pizza has actually been one of my number one pregnancy cravings too, so this Mama was extra happy!
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Panago now offers 100% Organic Italian tomato sauce which is made with organic tomatoes, herbs and spices. I also learned that their Ham, Italian sausage, pepperoni and salami are made from pork raised without the use of antibiotics. I always try to buy meat products that are made without the use of antibiotics, so that made me really happy. Especially when feeding my little toddler. They also don't use artificial colours or flavours, everything is natural.
Pizza made this Mama and her girl very happy!
Emery was so excited to have her own little box of pepperoni pizza to eat. She was also pretty jacked about the Organic juices they carry. Such a fun treat for her to have her own pizza and juice box! Aaron and I might have stolen the other two juice boxes from her, they were just too good! I think the organic lemon was my favourite.
Panago Pizza is made with fresh dough in store daily, and they also use 100% Canadian wheat and cheese. I love companies that support Canadian products! I also love that you can order other things with your pizza like salads (you can even create your own salads), wings, desserts and breads.
We will definitely be ordering more Panago Pizza in our future! What's your favourite kind to order?Let me know!<3 Kastles

Easter Basket Books
4/12/2017
I can't believe that Easter is just around the corner! I remember thinking that baby would be so close to coming after Easter, so crazy! As you might know, we love books around here. No Easter Basket would be complete without a few cute Easter books. I'm sharing a few of our favourites below.
The Flora Book series is one of our favourites. Flora is the cutest little character and each book is filled with the most beautiful illustrations. This one is a great one for helping your little one to count. Emery can count past ten but sometimes likes to skip ahead. I like that on each page I can get her to count all the chicks. She's also totally obsessed with how cute the little chicks are.
Oh George! Such a curious little monkey. This story is about how George wants to play Hide & Seek with a Bunny but ends up losing it. Spoiler alert- he finds the bunny! E is obsessed with playing Hide & Seek lately so she was really into reading this book. It's a good length of story as well, not too long and not too short.
This is the first time we read a Pout Pout Fish book. I didn't realize there are other books about this fish. Emery thinks the fish is super hilarious. It's a pretty simple book about an Easter Egg Hunt. Emery enjoyed looking for the eggs throughout the book. It's a great starter book for Seek & Find.
I hope that this gives you, I mean the Easter Bunny a few ideas of some books that can go in your little ones Easter basket.
Also let's just talk about this amazing dress Emery is wearing from Allegra and Luca! She has the most beautiful hand embroidered dresses, tunics and more for little girls and for us Mamas! I have a matching blouse in black, and I'm obsessed! Follow her on Instagram to see her latest goodies.
I hope you are all having a lovely week!
