I usually go through phases where I tend to do my make up the same each day. This look has been my favourite look lately. The pink and purple tones are fun & summery.
Here is a list of the products I used:
Sonia Kashuk Blush & Bronzer- this is my favourite blush & bronzer, I stocked up on a few before Target left us. The colours are a great combo together, and I love the tiny bit of shimmer.
M.A.C Flat Out Fabulous Lipstick- depending on what you are wearing this lipstick looks more purplish or pinkish.
Make Up Forever Smoky Stretch Lengthening & Defining Mascara c/o- I usually use another type of mascara, & tend to stick to it. This Make Up Forever one has pleasantly surprised me. Not clumpy at all & I mean check out my lashes! It is my new favourite mascara.
M.A.C Pink Freeze Eyeshadow Palette- I love little eyeshadow palettes like this one. The colours go together beautifully & are as equally pretty by themselves. I also adore when things are tiny enough to go in my super packed make up bag. Seriously, why can I not figure out a better system for that thing?

Ever since Emery was a little newborn, bath time has been one of Emery’s favourite things to do. She loves being in the water & it is so sweet to watch her play & explore. Our bathroom is not an ideal spot to capture photos of her having a blast. The lighting is terrible & our house is the midst of renovations. So when Canon Canada sent over this sweet little tub filled with fun photo props, a bath time photo shoot in the middle of the living room had to happen.
I just followed the guidelines again on the Baby Moments site to capture these photos. I picked our living room because it has a giant window that lets in lots of natural light. Just like in my first Canon Canada Baby Moments post, I used the EOS Rebel SL1 with the Canon EF 50mm lens to snap these shots. Make sure to have a spotter with you during this photo shoot, and a couple towels. If your little one is anything like Emery, there will be splashing :). Emery was so upset when this bath time was over, she did not want to come out of the tub!
There are lots of fun ideas of different moments to capture on the Baby Moments site. I definitely think I want to try taking some photos of Emery on the swing next. I wish I had known about this site when Emery was a newborn. There are so many adorable ideas. Apparently I am obsessed with tropical prints right now (as seen in my last outfit post). I adore that this dress is comfy, basic & a fun print. I added a light jacket for when it cools down in the evening. What are you obsessed with lately?

I have partnered with Canon Canada to help you capture all those special baby moments in your little ones life.
I love how Canon Canada has made it so easy for you. On their Baby Moments site, they have step-by-step tips on how to snap the perfect photos. One of my favourite things is how they have the different ages broken down into categories. Emery is almost 9 months, so I choose a tutorial from the 6-9 months category.
For my first post, I choose ‘Formal Portrait’. I picked out a cute little dress, and gathered up some fun pillows as suggested. One of the key things I have found for snapping awesome photos of Emery is having lots of natural light. Taking photos by a large window works great! I used the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 with a Canon EF 50mm Lens to take these photos. I set the camera to portrait mode just like they suggested. Then away we went! Emery was super fascinated with her dress & kept trying to put it over her head. She is also trying to learn how to crawl, so lots of moving around was happening. I suggest using some type of toy that makes a noise of some sort to attract your baby’s attention your way.
