One trend I keep seeing pop up for spring are lace up tops. I am totally crushing on this latest trend. It adds some interest & detail to an otherwise plain top or tee.
I fell in love with this lace-front chambray top from Anthropologie as soon as I saw it. My Nana has a fairly impressive denim shirt collection so when I saw this top I thought of her. When I took it home & was modelling it for my hubby & I asked if he liked it, he said "Yeah I do, and it's a total Nana shirt". Clearly this shirt & I belong together.

Mario Badescu Skincare
Nothing brings me more joy then finding new beauty products that actually work. I can't say enough good things about Mario Badescu's line. This line is awesome & the price point is actually affordable, which is hard to find with good quality skincare products. These three products I have been using everyday non stop since I picked them up at Anthropologie last month.
Don't let the colour of this green night cream fool intimidate you. Once you blend it in, the green colour disappears. This night cream is light weight and not greasy at all, which I really appreciate. I have super dry skin & the vitamins and minerals found in Bladderwrack Extract are great for nourishing dehydrated skin.
A little goes a long with this eye cream. You can use a tiny little dab or a more generous amount. I usually load this stuff on at night before bed paired with the seaweed night cream. It's very absorbent & the aloe based formula is great for my sensitive skin. I like to pat it on underneath my eye all the way to the top of my cheek bones.
Putting on SPF everyday is a must for me. The sun can cause so much damage to your skin, even in the winter. I find a lot of moisturizers with SPF in them are super oily and thick. This one is so light & is oil free, which is amazing! It's such a great base to start with & dries super fast.
I can't wait to try out some other products from his line, including this Enzyme Cleansing Gel. Anything that has papaya and grapefruit in it sounds delightful to me! Have you tried out any Mario Badescu's products before? Let me know!

Cool Girl
There is just something about a leather jacket that instantly makes you feel cool. This leather jacket has been a faithful companion over the years. It has become such a great investment piece. I am also starting to look at getting another one to add to my wardrobe. I'm trying to find more of a moto style jacket. This one by Acne Studios would be my dream jacket (in another lifetime, haha) but this Topshop & Free People one are cute & less expensive options. Now that I'm writing this, I've been thinking about how cute Emery would be in a little moto leather jacket. New mission is to find one for her too!

Casual Valentine
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I will be spending the week eating heart shaped treats, making Valentine's, taking cheesy photos of Emery in heart/pink themed clothes, and wearing lots of pink & red.
This gorgeous watch from Berg+Betts is the perfect accessory for this week, okay actually every week. I'm proud to say that this amazing watch company is a local gem. Jessie the owner is sweet, hardworking & creative. She is also the Mom to a cute little dude with another baby on the way very soon, and girlfriend is killing it! Free Babes Bows
When Emery was first born she had a head full of dark hair but it all fell out pretty quickly. She was a little baldy for quite awhile. I never gave much thought to doing her hair or putting bows in it since she was lacking in the hair department. Just recently her hair has starting growing more but it's kinda wild & in an awkward mullet stage. She also has a large head so lots of stuff is just too small for her.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that bow headbands from Free Babes Handmade are made with soft one size fits all elastic so they actually fit Emery's large head. The elastic is also nude coloured with means the you only really notice the adorable bow & the strap part isn't distracting. Free Babes Handmade uses high quality Liberty of London prints & other cotton fabrics to make the bows which I was also super excited about because you really can't go wrong with Liberty of London fabrics. I can't wait till Emery's hair is a little longer so we can try out these schoolgirl bow clips in her pigtails, ahh so cute!

Remember this post about how I was talking about wanting to work with some of my favourite girl bosses, well Joanne from Hunter & Hare is one of them. I have admired Joanne for a long time. This girl has kept the shipping run at several very cool boutiques the whole time I've known her, so it's no surprise that she opened up her own beautiful shop with her friend Micki. Hunter & Hare is located in the very hip Gastown in Vancouver. The shop is a high end consignment shop where all the items are carefully curated. They also carry products by local and independent vendors. They just recently launched their online store carrying accessories, beauty & home items. The girls were so kind to send over some beautiful items from their online shop. This Harlow body butter smells absolutely divine & has become a favourite to put on before bed. Obviously being one of the Pantone colors of the year, these gold dipped rose quartz earrings were a no brainer. If the packaging of this Herbivore Pink Clay Soap Bar doesn't sell you, the refreshing scent will.
