Mom Uniform
6/29/2016
As I was saying in this post, Emery and I have been busy little bees lately. Between play dates, workouts, & running an endless amount of errands, we always seem to be on the go. I have come to perfect the best "Mom Uniform" for all this running around. The first and most important piece to this uniform of mine is a good pair of leggings.
A lot of my leggings were poor fitting and trashed. Not a cute look for this Mama. Thankfully these Mondor Tuxedo leggings have come to the rescue.
Details: ALDO Accessories Mirrored Sunglasses & Ombre Nails c/o NailitSpa
Mondor is a leg wear company based out of Montreal, who develops high performance tights and competition apparel. They also create comfortable, fashionable tights designed for active women. I love that they pay attention to the fabrics they use, making sure it is of the highest quality. Most importantly they focus on fit.
Let me tell you, I have never owned a better pair of leggings then these bad boys. They are the comfiest and chicest pair of leggings. One of my favourite things about them is the fit. They sit a bit higher in the waist so I don't have to worry when I am bending over (which as a Mom of a toddler, happens a lot). They also suck everything in which is a great added bonus. This particular style has faux leather paneling on the sides which definitely steps up my cool game. I also really like these Moto Leggings, the mesh panels are very on trend.
The next piece in my uniform is a comfy top or tank that is on the longer side. Don't get me started on how leggings are NOT pants, haha! Then I like to add one more layering piece, in the winter it is usually a cardigan. Right now it's a light weight oversized plaid shirt. If I get too hot, it still looks cool (well at least I think it does) tied around my waist. Last but not least is a classic pair of sneakers.
What does your Mom uniform look like? Does it consist of leggings?

Peony Season
6/28/2016
I have been a long time fan of Peonies long before Instagram and bloggers made them the "It" flower. My Nana and Mom introduced them to me a long time ago. Fun fact, when Aaron and I were looking at houses I would always count how many Peony bushes each house had. It might have had a tiny influence on which house we ended up with, haha!
Details: Anthropologie Fleur De Lys Pitcher and Eyelet Halter Top
Our house has 6 Peony Plants ranging in colour, type and size. Some of the plants are quite young and only produce a few blooms, and some are quite a bit older and produce a ton of flowers!
Can you spot the Bumble Bee? I love that these flowers attract these little guys!
If you have been following me on Snapchat (kastlescamponi) you will see how every time there was a thunderstorm I would run out into my yard to save my Peonies. I love filling my home with these beautiful flowers (but I still like to leave some out for those Bees). You will also see how I found a lady who has 11 Peony Plants lining her fence and another who had their whole backyard filled with Peonies! #LifeGoals.
My Peonies all bloom at different times which is nice. These beautiful Pink and White Peonies are the last to bloom. According to this Peony List they are either called Show Girl or Bowl of Beauty Peonies, I am not quite sure.
Details: Uashmama Rose Quartz Paper Bag
Sadly most of my Peonies are all done for the season. At least I have 6+ rose bushes to enjoy for the rest of the summer! Do any of you have Peonies in your yard?

Jumpsuit Summer.
6/20/2016
I remember a couple of summers ago I was pregnant with Emery and there were so many cute jumpsuits out. Not a lot of them would fit with my little 😉 belly. Last summer postpartum me wasn't totally into it but this summer I am all over it. Enter this Brisa Jumpsuit from Anthropologie, the pattern is so fun & the black is slimming. I love the billowy legs, keeps things cool and kinda makes me feel like a Genie. Yes, I just might call this my Genie romper. Have you tried out any rompers lately?

Life Lately
6/17/2016
It seems like this time of the year is busy, go go go! Emery and I always seem to be heading out the door during the week. We can't wait for the end of the month when Dada will be done work for the summer!
If you follow along on Snapchat (kastlescamponi) you will see I have been filling my house with Peonies from the yard. I usually like to put out a tray on my Gold Flamingo ottoman from Obviously Chic filled with favourite mags, flowers & trinkets. I picked up the latest Ban.do Agenda for next year, because if you are Ban.do fan like me these bad boys sell out super fast!
Since Em and I have been spending a lot more time outside my hair has been a little on the crispy side. I picked up a little treat for my hair from Sephora the other day for a extra little conditioning. I thought I would give Bumble and Bumble's Invisible Oil Conditioner a try. I also picked up a few other goodies included Dr.Jart+ Black Charcoal Mask (that everyone seems to be raving about) & Josie Maran's Whipped Argan Oil.
One trend I keep seeing pop up is slip on sandals & little spaghetti strap dresses. I can get behind the sandals but I am having a hard time committing to any sort of spaghetti strap situation. Mostly because I'm not into wearing a strapless bra, haha! I thought these tan sandals from Joe Fresh would be a nice break from my Birkenstocks (my Birkenstock tan is outta control!).
I have a monthly subscription to Julep, which means each month I get a curated box of their latest beauty products. They are mostly nail polish based but lately they have been stepping it up with some fun beauty products. The last couple of months I have been opting out mostly because we are trying to save moola but I forgot this month. It was a pleasant surprise to see it in my mailbox, plus they always sneak a little candy into each box :).
I've really been struggling with that last 5-10 pounds of baby weight (more on that later 😜), and this cute scalloped bikini from Old Navy has been my motivation. June has been my lets kick some butt month in the fitness & health department.
Poor Emery, her little room is still in progress, although let's be honest she doesn't really notice. Uashmama sent over this adorable Rose Quartz Paper Bag (yes it's made out of paper!) and I love sticking all her cute girlie things in it. It might have to make an appearance in the living room with some peonies in it 😉.
Happy Friday everyone!

Lise Watier Escale Summer 2016 Collection
6/13/2016
Over the years, I have become a tad boring when it comes to my eye make-up. I tend to stick to a lighter beige eyeshadow as a base, followed with a darker brown in the creases. I wasn't always like this, I swear. I use to love being adventures and playing around with fun colors. So when the new Lise Watier Escale 2016 Summer Collection fell into my lap, I was all game to try out some fun new colors.
First things first, the packaging is so pretty! Who wouldn't want to carry these darling little floral compacts around?
The Escale Palette for eyes and cheeks features the softest & prettiest of colors, just perfect for summer! Personally, I love combining the purple shades together along with the pink Ombre Fraiche Liquid eyeshadow for a soft, dewy look.
Hands down my favourite piece from the collection is the Escale Bronzing powder. It has just the right mixture of pinks & browns for that great summer glow. If I don't have time to do my whole face, I try to at least brush a little of this on.
Have you tried the new collection? Or what other beauty lines are you loving for summer?

KicKee Pants
6/02/2016
When I was pregnant with Emery, I would hear Mom's talking about these KicKee Pants pjs and how amazing they were. I kinda kept it in the back of my mind because I wasn't buying too many things for Emery before she got here because we didn't know what we were having. A few months after having Emery, my Mom and I were at a local baby boutique and saw these infamous KicKee Pants pjs. They felt like butter. I couldn't believe how incredibly soft they were and the adorable prints they came in. I also loved how the arm sleeves could be pulled over to cover your babes hands. So much more convenient then baby mitts. We grabbed a few pairs to test out. Fast forward to today, and we are just as in love with the brand.
KicKee Pants always has the cutest and unique prints. These ones that Emery is wearing are the Natural Sun & Moon set. What I love about this print is that they are gender neutral. When you are spending a little bit more money on baby or toddler clothes, I really appreciate gender neutral prints. This way if you are going to have to spend a little bit more money, you can reuse them whether you have a girl or boy.

I just recently discovered that KicKee Pants also carries other clothes besides pjs. A little mini tank topsand a bubble skirt? So freaking cute! I mean look at her little belly in it. I love how KicKee Pants always pays attention to little details such as ruffles and trim. I have my eye on their new Wing Romper in Swam Princess. That print and little ruffles are just perfect!
Have you tried out KicKee Pants for your little babes? Let me know! They are just heavenly. They even have some adult pjs, which I am thinking I might just need a pair for myself. Perhaps matching ones with E, because that's just how I roll.
Happy almost friday lovelies!
