Mama's Night In

image

I don’t know about you other Mama’s out there, but after my little one goes to bed I look forward to a little time to myself. It is so important to take a little time for yourself, otherwise you can start to go a little crazy. I throw on my favourite pjs (these adorable pjs also come in a pineapple print as well) and settle down with a few of my favourite beauty products to play with. If I have had a particularly long day, this stress relief treatment oil from Dermalogica is my go to. It is great to add to a running bath or massage onto your temples. A face mask is the ultimate treat, & this yummy smelling one from Joe Fresh has been my favourite lately. Of course, painting my nails is something that only gets done after Emery goes to bed. These pastel hues from Julep Maven are my latest obsession. Don’t forget the Netflix & fun popcorn!

Gingham has got to be one of my favourite prints of all time. It’s such a classic print & screams summer! These red gingham pieces only seemed fitting for Emery & I to wear on Canada Day. Please tell me I’m not the only Mama who buys matching outfits to wear with her baby? I am sure Emery will love these photos when she’s older right? :)
Also a little secret I should let you in on, I bought this tunic from Anthropologie in a size Large so I could wear it as a dress. There are some pros to being on the shorter side.

Nivea Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Serum Pearls

image

image
When I was approached to try out NIVEA’s Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Serum Pearls, I jumped at the opportunity. Ever since having my little babe, I am into trying out anything to help my skin. Also the closer I am to approaching the big 3-0, I am all about anti-wrinkle anything!
Prior to using this product, I was totally clueless about what Q10 was. For someone who is interested in any skin product that fights the look of wrinkles and tightens skin, I should be more up to date! In the most basic terms, Q10 is an energy coenzyme found naturally in the skin. With age, its level decreases leaving skin with less energy to rejuvenate. Over time this may lead to appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I am so mesmerized by the cool revolutionary pearl technology (maybe it is the teacher in me). The pearls (which contain highly concentrated coenzyme Q10 similar to that found in the skin) burst inside the nozzle and mix with the moisturizing gel to form the serum. This means the serum’s ingredients are freshly activated right before you use it. After using the Q10plus serum for a few days, I noticed how much smoother and softer my skin felt. I love putting it underneath my moisturizer and foundation. It also works great as a night cream. I instantly obsessed with any product that is multi-purpose & fights the look of wrinkles! Another cool thing about it is that it contains ingredients similar to those found naturally in the skin, so the Q10plus pearls actually work together with your skin and helps prevent the visible signs of aging.

You can also check out their Facebook page, to see more of their Q10plus products or keep up on all the latest on twitter under the hashtag #q10pearls. Personally I have my eye on their Q10plus anti-wrinkle eye creme (no pun intended).

I adore when you can wear a piece in your closet multiple ways. For example, the skirt I am wearing is actually a dress. Denim & lace are always a killer combo in my opinion, so I just layered this crop denim button up over top of my dress & viola! Also isn’t my pretzel bag all kinds of fun? I am kind of obsessed with it!
